PILATES

What is Pilates

The purposes of Pilates exercises are strengthen abdominal and back areas equally and also to create a solid skeleton in the upper part of our body. Pilates by the central body, deep muscles and the muscles closest to the spine is made up of. In a classic exercise weak muscles weaken, strong muscles tend to strengthen. This can lead to unbalanced muscle structure,  chronic back pain and disability. Muscle structure is turned into a whole. You can also look fine not to give weight. Injuries are difficult. Strength increases, metabolism is accelerated.

6 Pilates Principles

Centering: Physically bringing the focus to the center of the body, the powerhouse area between the lower ribs and pubic bone. Energetically, Pilates exercises are sourced from center.

Concentration: If one brings full attention to the exercise and does it with full commitment, maximum value will be obtained from each movement.

Control: Every Pilates exercise is done with complete muscular control. No body part is left to its own devices.

Precision: In Pilates, awareness is sustained throughout each movement. There is an appropriate placement, alignment relative to other body parts, and trajectory for each part of the body.

Breath: Joseph Pilates emphasized using a very full breath in his exercises. He advocated thinking of the lungs as a bellows -- using them strongly to pump the air fully in and out of the body. Most Pilates exercises coordinate with the breath, and using the breath properly is an integral part of Pilates exercise.

Flow: Pilates exercise is done in a flowing manner. Fluidity, grace, and ease are goals applied to all exercises. The energy of an exercise connects all body parts and flows through the body in an even way. Pilates equipment, like the reformer, are very good mirrors of one's flow and concentration as they tend to bang around and suddenly become quite "machine-like" if one loses ones control and flow.

Suleiman the Magnificent and Muhteşem Yüzyıl

As a Turkish person, I am aware of my people's history. Our history is very rich and it really astonishes me. I am fond of the history of my people and the history of world. I read and watched The Other Boleyn Girl book and the movie before reading books and watching series about Ottoman Empire and they both astounded me as subjects. I really love these kinds of books and movies. Because it is not only enjoyable but also instructive. I love all the intrigues and conspiracies in those books.

Recently, there has been a great interest in Ottoman Empire history. The vogue started with the Muhteşem Yüzyıl which is called a lot different names in other countries but I don't have much information about it and it changes in every single country so I will mention it by the Turkish name. From literature to food, from paint industry to films, Ottoman Empire is inspiring us all.
In Muhteşem Yüzyıl, the main subject is the love of Suleiman the Magnificent and Hürrem Sultan who is known as Roxelana. Roxelana was brought to the palace from Kingdom of Poland. She entered the Palace as a slave. She was put in the harem and she lived there for some time. Suleiman the Magnificent fell in love with her and they had 6 children. Consisting of 5 heirs and a girl. As an emporor of a great empire Suleiman the Magnificent and the other members of the royal family were very pleased about the number of the princes. The storyline of the series shows Hürrem Sultan as an ambitious person who can do anything I mean anything to survive and to make one of her children the next emperor. But she is also portrayed as a woman who is completely in love. Of course the conspiracies, assassinations and all the intrigues are the parts of the writings and fiction. Most of them are not the real historical events. But it is really enjoyable to read books and to watch movies and series.
A lot of countries have a great interest in Ottoman Empire, too. If you are into it I strongly recommend watching the series. It is absoulutely entertaining :))

He is my...

It is time to start writing about my changeable love life , which I haven't had for a long time. After 9 months, I started talking with a person that I have known for 4 years. Actually, I have no idea what we are but I don't believe that we have to prove something about what our relationship is to someone, even ourselves. Whatever our relationship's name, the only thing that I know I just don't want to lose him because of ridiculous reasons, never. Well, who is he? Let's talk about him.

When I finished the 8th grade, in summer I started talking to a boy. We were close friends and I really had  fun with him. He said to me that his cousin was studying at the school which I would go and he dated with my one of the best friends before. When he talked about that actually I didn't care about but when the school time came on I saw his couisin. ( I have to say they are exactly different ). After 3-4 school days I decided to go with the aim of talking with him. He might not have wanted to talk to me but truthly I was like : '' who cares about how he is gonna act? It is worth trying.'' And then I did it and calmly asked whether he was his couisin or not. Luckily he said ''I am''.

After that day we were talking nearly all the time when we were awake. But there was a problem and it was really hard and from day to day it was keeping getting harder and harder. What was that? He had a girlfriend... In fact they were having an argument most of time but because of this girl he felt like he had to stop talking to me. They were exactly right because they were dating and i was third person between him and her. Of course I never gave up, and about 1 year after they broke up. Yes they broke up. I thought I would be happy but I didn't feel like it was a victory. If they had made peace, maybe this wouldn't make me sad but they didn't.

Since then, he and I have had a good relationship. Altough we are not friends we are not dating too but I'm not suffering from this condition . Whenever we talk he can make me smile. He is such a lovely person that most of time I can't say to him ''no'' especially when he adresses me my beauty. But last time I did and I regretted in a short time because I realized that when we don't talk even for a while i miss him and last morning I saw him in my dream and as soon as I woke up I texted him and I said I was really sorry. He couldn't stand mental pain and forgave me. We are really happy now even we have never been. He is always on my mind and i hope i am the same for him...

Beginning of a New Journey

Well, first of all, hello to eveyone who sees this. To begin with, we want to introduce ourselves. Our names are Nurdan and Özlem and we may have some additional writers which are not for sure right now so I am just saying the names of two of us.
We are highschool students and we are in the same class and as a result of our spending a lot of time together we are really good friends. We are studying especially English so the language and the culture of English people creates a big part in our lives. We tried a lot of stuff to improve our English and have fun with our other friends such as attempting to start a youtube chanel, travelling to London, working as a waiter in a touristic place and so on. Well, all of them may have failed but writing a blog can not fail because we are not that incompetent :))
So you know us more or less and now it is time to talk about what we are going to be writing here. We don't have a particular subject actually. So you can expect us to write a bunch of things which are not relevant. But I can name a few things that we are into. We are fond of a lot things such as tv shows, fandoms, fashion(particularly Özlem of course), bands, everything you can possibly think of. If you ever want us to write about something you can of course tell us. We are open for suggestions.
So I guess this is it, I am out of things that I was going to talk about :)) See you very soon and I hope you enjoy reading what we write here :)) Stay tuned everyone ;)
